We’ll take this special moment, to remember ‘Our Dad’
Thank him for the time we shared, & for all the things we had.
We think about the fleeting years, too quickly, gone for good
It seems like only yesterday, we’d go back if we could.

A childhood full of happy times, & holidays to the Isle of Wight

You always loved to have such fun, those memories we’ll hold on tight

You taught us what good music was, we’d sing your favourite songs,
Anything with a real good beat, you’d always drum along.



The fun we had playing in the sand, & splashing in the sea
A game of family crazy golf, & fish & chips for tea
Climbing dinosaurs at Blackgang Chine, every year we went
Our imaginations ran so wild, as Pirates, or Cowboys & Indians in tents



You loved to be a Grandad, it gave you so much pleasure,
The bond you had, the love you gave, I’m sure they’ll always treasure
To share your birthday with your Grandson, is such an amazing thing
A date I’m sure we’ll never forget, a celebration of life & all it brings



Our movie nights we always loved, we’d sit & watch together
With sweets, chocs & crisps to share, though salt‘n’vinegar, you didn’t like, ever
At any time we needed you, we called, you quickly came,
No matter whereabouts we were, you were there, again & again



Our farewell words were spoken, it hurt to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it, we’ll always wonder why.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you, we hope you’re always by our side



Our hearts will ache with sadness & silent tears will flow,
What it meant to love you, we hope you’ll always know
Thank you for all you did for us, & for everything we had
